IIT Delhi Makerspace is a DIY facility for people who like to make things, are curious about how stuff works, or would like to learn new skills in tinkering. Makerspace is equipped with machines such as laser cutters, waterjet cutter, CNC routers, 3D printers, PCB prototyping station, soldering stations, welding kit, various hand and power tools. You can learn these machines by taking part in weekly scheduled training sessions.
Makerspace is open to the entire IIT Delhi community.
The Makerspace is open to all students, faculty and staff of Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. You will need to complete Makerspace specific training in order to use Makerspace equipment and resources. These can be booked via CRF Bookng System.
Every person of the IIT Delhi community has to undergo equipment training before they can be permitted to use machines. This is important for the safety of the user. Once training is done, equipments can be utilized. You can check training details from this website on 'Training' tab.

The Makerspace Lab is a DIY (Do It Yourself) facility where we train the users and they themselves are supposed to work on their projects. Of course you will be guided and supported. Please note we do not provide job work/services and users have to do the job work themselves. Users have to attend weekly training session provided by makerspace staff before they can be permitted to operate machines.
We do have some storage available but it is limited. Contact us to discuss more in detail. Otherwise whatever you bring with you should leave with you.
